    Job Title: Help Desk Support Specialist

    Location: Port Wentworth, GA

     

    Position Overview

     

    We’re looking for a Help Desk Support Specialist I to join our clients growing IT team. In this frontline role, you’ll provide hands-on technical support across hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring a seamless IT experience for internal users. You’ll troubleshoot issues, manage tickets, monitor systems, and support daily operations—all while delivering excellent customer service with a solutions-first mindset.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues via our internal ticketing system
    • Diagnose and resolve technical problems; escalate complex cases when needed
    • Monitor and maintain systems, backups, and scheduled tasks for stability and performance
    • Support end-user devices, including configuration, upgrades, and repairs
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding, from account setup to workstation configuration
    • Track IT assets, including computers, servers, printers, mobile devices, and licenses
    • Document support processes and troubleshooting steps for team-wide use
    • Participate in an after-hours support rotation to ensure business continuity

     

    What You’ll Bring

    • 1–2 years of IT support experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment
    • Solid knowledge of PC hardware, Windows OS, mobile devices, and basic network management (LAN/WAN)
    • Familiarity with virtualization, system administration, and server environments
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication with both technical and non-technical users
    • A customer-first approach and a passion for solving problems
    • Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks
    • Associate degree in a technical discipline

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment

    • Primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to operations areas
    • Regular movement: standing, walking, sitting, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs with assistance for items over 25 lbs)
    • Vision requirements include close focus and visual flexibility
